The Descent

A chance meeting with a monk in training at the summit of Carrauntoohill. Fresh from his training in Rome he was travelling around Ireland without any money and only what he could fit in his pockets. He joined my friends to make the decent all the down to Kate Kearney’s Cottage. His plan was to visit Iceland before returning to Rome.
